Rolly obtained his Bachelor Degree major in History minor in Anthropology, cum laude and class valedictorian with the GWA 1.4900 at the premier state university in the Philippines—University of the Philippines Diliman on April 1997 and also Master of Arts Degree in History with the GWA 1.1825 on May 2005 in the aforementioned university. During convocation ceremonies, Rolly garnered and received 3 University Scholars and 3 College Scholars from 1994 to 1997. He is also a consistent honor and scholar student.He is a recipient of the Presidential Scholarship and Leadership Grantee from 1994 to 1997. He is a lifetime member of the Top 5% of the graduating students with Honors, 'Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society.' He became officers of various prestigious organizations of both national and international. He presented papers internationally such as in Singapore (3rd International Convention of Asia Scholars)in 2003, Taiwan (18th International Associations of Historians in Asia) in 2004 and Shanghai, China in 2005(4th International Convention of Asia Scholars).


When he was in the University of the Philippines Los Banos, he became Outstanding Junior Faculty in 2002. It is stipulated in his citation:For his dedication and commitment in the promotion of and the love for Philippine and World History as a teacher and researcher.

For touching the lives of students and inspiring them to develop self-confidence through his highly spirited lectures and sharings; and for developing in them the love for learning;

For maintaining outstanding student evaluation while at the same time engaging himself zealously in international, national, local, university, college and department committee works involving academic and non-academic concerns;

And for his selfless devotion to helping the students adjust to university life by actively counseling them in his capacity as adviser to many student organizations.'

Henceforth, Rolly also had adjudged prestigious contests in national, regional, district and local levels. He became also advisers of various organizations in campus like Sociology Society, Sandiwa, Tau gamma Phi Fraternity,Kappa Ep Sorority, Chi Ep Sorority, Debate Society, Bible Readers Society, Syndeo, organization of YMCA, Civil Engineering Executive Organization, Thespian Circle and the like.

Also, he served as officers of different professional and renowned organizations such as: Secretary, Rotary Club of Caloocan Silangan; Vice-President, Kulturang Pamana;International Sociological Association; Association for Asian Studies; Board Member, Southern Luzon Association of Museums; PRO- ADHIKA UPLB Chapter and the like. Dr. Zeus Salazar, Dr. Jaime Veneracion, Dr. Milagros Guerrero, Dr. Leslie Bauzon and his adviser Dr. Ma Luisa T. Camagay who inspired him to widen his horizon in Philippine History and Historiography. meanwhile in the field of Anthropology to Dr. Wilfredo Ronquillo his occult knowledge in Museology and Dr. Prospero Covar who gave light to continue to study the discourse on Rizalism. All those knowledge that he has gotten from the aforementioned professors will be inculcated and engraved in his heart and soul. He likes to travel, sing, dance, acting, writing articles and essays, orating, reading books and magazines, watching tv and movies, eating in various restaurants, watching plays, window shopping, playing mind boggle, scrabble, games of the general and word factory games,listening to the radio and MP4, surfing the net, swimming, playing volleyball, badminton and bowling, texting and chatting friends using his hightech devices, club hopping especially Embassy, Piedra, Alchemy, Guillys and the like. Also, Rolly used to teach in the following academic institutions: St.Scholastica's College in Manila, FEU-East Asia College, AMACC Manila, Asia Pacific College in Makati. He handled/still handling the following subjects: Filipino (Sining ng Pakikipagtalastasan), FILItwo (Pagbasa at Pagsulat sa Iba't Ibang Disiplina), FILIret( Retorikang Filipino), Philman (Philosophy of Man), all webcast subjects in AMA, History, Jose Rizal, Rizal with Socio-Political Thought (RSPT) and Poligov. He became Public Information Associate in 'UPLB Horizon' for three years and writer of 'CAS Accents' for four years.He also became chairman of different committees in the university, college and department. He became division head of History at the University of the Philippines Los Banos in 2003. He published numerous articles and essays and even a book. Indeed, he is a thespian by directing and acting plays in UP Los Banos. He is feisty,career-oriented person, a well-rounded person,thoughtful friend, a shoulder to cry on, outstanding teacher,a gimmickera diva, a super achiever, a responsible leader,an obstinate lad, passionate and transparent individual, a good researcher, very considerate and loving adviser,a political activist, articulate, intelligent, responsible, talented individual, lovable brother, God-fearing individual and a good steward of Heavenly Father .
